THC flower by the 28 grams: ounce math against the half pound
In brief. An ounce is 28.35 grams, which shops round to 28. A half pound is eight ounces and a pound is sixteen. We sell only the half and the pound, so to compare our menu with an ounce price elsewhere, divide: the half-pound price by 8, the pound price by 16. What we sell is hemp THCA flower, indoor grown.

The ounce here is the avoirdupois ounce, 28.35 grams, and the pound is 453.59 grams (NIST Guide to the SI, Appendix B.9). A bag sold as “28 g” is about a third of a gram short of a true ounce. Over eight bags that is the 2.8 g in the table.

Worked example, with round numbers that are not our prices: a half pound at $480 is $60 an ounce and $2.12 a gram. A 28 g bag at $90 is $3.21 a gram. Our cards show the price per gram for the half and the pound, so this is done for you on the full list.
Before you buy more than an ounce
- Use it while it is fresh. Flower kept for months in warm, bright or open storage loses aroma and dries out. Buy the size you will use.
- Know your state’s limits. Adult-use states that allow marijuana usually set possession limits in ounces; California’s is 28.5 grams of flower (Cal. Health & Safety Code 11362.1). Hemp THCA flower is sold under the federal hemp definition today (7 U.S.C. 1639o), but some states ban it, and state law varies. Check yours before you order.
- Know the date. From Dec. 11, 2026, federal law counts THCA toward total THC (P.L. 119-37, sec. 781; date set by H.R. 6500). High-THCA flower then counts as marijuana under federal law, whenever it was bought. A half pound is nearly eight times California’s possession limit.
